Butter spent the week climbing and closed at $1.6675 per pound, up $0.1325 from last Friday. Blocks fell $0.0300 to $1.4750 per pound, reaching their lowest level since February. Barrels also slipped after the holiday, then remained steady at $1.4400 per pound, down $0.0400 on the week. Nonfat dry milk closed at $2.0900, up $0.0175 on the week.

Edge Dairy Farmer Cooperative will launch a virtual National Cheese Day campaign on Thursday. National Cheese Day is recognized annually on June 4th, and the campaign, launched in collaboration with processor partners, creates awareness and appreciation for the impact cheese has on America.
With the theme Powered by dairy. Driven by cheese, the campaign showcases five Edge members: Heidi Fischer, Fischer-Clark Dairy; David Elliott, Drumgoon Dairy; Sandy Larson, Larson Acres; Josh Meissner, Norm E Lane and Aaron Jones, Jones Dairy. The members, representing three different states, shared their story and passion for producing high-quality, nutritious milk that is made into a variety of cheese products.
ICE expands list of substantive form I-9 violations, increasing financial risk to employers

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) recently issued an updated Fact Sheet that reflects a more aggressive enforcement approach to Form I-9 inspections. Under the new policy, ICE expanded the list of errors classified as substantive paperwork violations, increasing employers’ risk of fines for Form I-9 errors.
USDA announces base acre increase opportunity for agriculture risk and price loss coverage safety net programs

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) announced eligible landowners have from June 1 until Aug. 31, 2026 to review and consider base acre increases on farms enrolled in the Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC) and Price Loss Coverage (PLC) programs, as authorized by provisions included in the Working Families Tax Cuts Act, also known as the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.
