Tell us a bit about yourself and your farm.
I farm with my dad and brother. We milk 260 Holstein cows with four DeLaval V300 robots and are currently adding two more robots to our barn. Along with milking cows, we farm about 1,400 acres of land.
Tell us why you are committed to the organization and what it means to your farm.
Minnesota Milk is an opportunity for dairy farmers to ensure we have a voice in St. Paul advocating on our behalf. Our industry is stronger when all farms work together to convey a common message. I am committed to helping represent Minnesota dairy farms and promoting practical legislation rooted in science.
What are you currently enjoying the most in your role on the board, and what are you looking forward to in
the months ahead?
I am enjoying learning how both Minnesota Milk and the Voice of Milk operate. In the months ahead, I look forward to learning more in-depth about our legislative priorities.
